“Color, Fabric and Embellishments for Crazies”

Give your Crazy quilts that professional look with the tricks and tips you’ll pick up from this learn-as-you work class, from the right fabrics and colors to adding that final touch of embroidery or beading. We’ll e x p l o re both modern quick-pieced and traditional methods, and examine a variety of modern and vintage Crazies. You’ll take home a pillow or mini-wall quilt as a memory of the class!

April Workshop with Jane Sassaman
“Simple Silhouettes ”
Sunday, April 25, 9am – 4 pm
Cost: Members: $45 Non-Members $55
Location: AARP 1117 S. Prairie Avenue, Pueblo CO
I have created a series of silhouette designs to be used in combination with my FreeSpirit fabrics. This is a good class for beginning machine appliquérs or quilters who want to make an easy, but dramatic small wall quilt for their home or as a gift. Each student will pick a central motif (flower, butterfly, etc.), a favorite Sassaman fabric and a coordinating background to make an 18” quilt using Jane’s unique “bandage” appliqué technique. Once you grasp the system, you will feel comfortable to make more when you get home.

Learn to make this wonderful ripple border without cutting triangles.
Two different blocks complete the center of this quilt using fast
piecing techniques. A wonderful class for all levels with basic
rotary and machine sewing experience.
